me in 2 minutes...

Today someone asked me to take no more than 2 minutes and write a few sentences about myself. This is what I wrote...
I talk a lot. But only because I have a lot to say.
I have a blog.
I notice things most people do not.
Case in point: I have a blog.
I lose things. I used to think I'd grow out of it. I am starting to think I will not.
I have the most amazing parents in the world.
They don't understand how I lose things.
I spend more money than I make on clothes/shoes, yet I would be perfectly happy to spend the rest of my life in a bikini.
I always spell check the word "genius".
I appreciate irony.
Music makes me happy.
I love the lakers.
I miss my puppy. A lot.
My friends are my world.
I love with my whole heart. If I love you, I love you unconditionally.
It is rare that I hate someone. If I hate you, you probably deserve it.
I love to laugh. I often cry.

bar, midtown, and jesus camp...

If I could make postcards of my holiday weekend with Leigh in nyc, they would look like this:

I don't know I think I may have a new side-business on my hands.
Anyway, needless to say we had a great time but as always it went too fast.
Here are a few highlights.
*ahem*
Thursday. Thanksgiving. We witnessed a young newlywed from Mississippi cry (real tears) and wander around the bar looking for her husband who had somehow gone missing. Don't worry, about 30 minutes, 10 laps and 3 calls to her hotel in Rockefeller Center later-he came stumbling back in. There was some discussion and then they decided to do what any intelligent adults would do.
Order a bottle of wine.
And we did what any normal people would do-watched in amusement as we enjoyed our cheese plate and grey goose martinis.
Oh to be a fly on the wall in that room on Friday morning. However he DID leave his wallet there so whether or not they actually made it back to the hotel I guess we'll never know.
Ahh to be young and in love.
Friday it was too cold to be outside, so after brunch we ducked into my new favorite dive bar for a drink-and didn't come out until it was dark.
We DID however meet some new lovely and and insightful new friends.
One woman (who drank "well vodka in a wine glass") was nice enough to inform us that "Alaska was in fact part of the United States and because of that they also celebrate Thanksgving..."
We also learned that you can catch some pretty big fish off of the Triborough Bridge.
Oh and the man on the far end of the bar-had he not kept falling asleep sitting up-I'm SURE he would have had some lovely stories for us as well.
All in all it was a pretty amazing day. However after listening to me sing Captain and Tennille's Love Will Keep Us Together and Dire Straits' Walk of Life (a few times) Leigh had seen enough of BAR-for that day anyway.
Rest assured I'll be seing "the guys" Monday's for MNF. Can't wait.
I wonder if Mike-the-Marine-turned-Broadway-stage-hand will be there.
Saturday and Sunday were followed by more shenanigans but you get the idea.
I hope you all had as much fun as I did over the holiday.
Mom see you Saturday.
Leigh-miss you already.

new hobby...

I have a new hobby.
Well no I believe the correct word is obsession.

I truly believe this may be the end to my dating life-oh wait-ha nevermind.

I truly believe as long as this thing is in front of me I will never be anywhere on-time again-oh wait......

Any of you who believe that you are "good" at puzzles-as I once did-I dare you to try this one. Last night, I actually dreamt about it. God. I'm cool.

Stay tuned. This is so not over.

Ok time to party prep!

Hello all

Please excuse the lack of udates.
I've been so busy-and as long as I'm not busy "looking for a job" I will consider it a good thing!
Oh I've also been busy spending money, you know keeping the currency current-all to help our struggling economy of course ;-)

Still waiting on mine-as well as the professional pictures however here is a little preview of some wedding pics. Enjoy.

Congratulations President-Elect Barack Obama

No matter who you voted for yesterday-regardless of your race, income, religious beliefs or political affiliation-I think we all can agree we're in need of some change.
